Part of
a national franchise of world-class Christian camps run by
Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF), Pioneer Camp operates
three camps in Alberta. Pioneer Lodge is located on 2000 acres
near Sundre in the scenic Red Deer River valley. Pioneer Ranch
is found on Crimson Lake near Rocky Mountain House. And Peace
Country Pioneer operates from three locations in the Grande
Prairie area. In total we’re offering 26 camps this summer for
over 1000 campers ― single-gender camps, co-ed camps, riding
camps, and those with mountaineering out-trips for every camper.
Pioneer provides an inter-denominational, Christian environment
for children and youth. We seek to clearly present the Christian
faith to campers ― always in age appropriate ways. Our leaders
are often Christian university students who participate in IVCF
on their campuses, and are part of our well-known leadership
development program. We offer a wide-range of activities:
climbing walls, ropes courses, archery, canoeing, kayaking,
mountain biking, show biz, crafts, and a highly-developed riding
program. We believe summer camp is a terrific place to develop
new skills and nurture social and spiritual development ― and
that makes attending any Pioneer Camp a fantastically rich
experience! See our website at
